The 2x Glass Series includes vases, bowls, and pendant lighting. This glass series employs highly skilled craft-based techniques to explore material extremes and push conventional boundaries in the realm of glass blowing. To create the series, broken glass is incorporated into a free form glass bubble. The glass is then mouth blown and through a repetitive process of heating and hand molding, the once sharp shards of glass become blunt and sculpturally integrated into the form. The glass gather line–where the molten glass accumulates prior to being shaped–is visible in each iteration, honoring both skill and process. Each piece in the series is unique.
